Lati Saka is a movement director, teacher, and performer with over 15 years of expertise in the field. Initially, Lati trained as a dancer at the Laban Centre of Movement and Dance and went on to graduate from Dartington College of Arts with a BA in Theatre. She also has a Masters in Movement Directing and Teaching from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
In recent years she has choreographed the award-winning production “Sold” with (Kuumba Nia Arts), “Still Breathing” with (Unlock the Chains Collective), “Here’s What She Said to Me” and “The Girls in Their Sunday Dresses” with (Utopia Theatre). Her credits include Assistant Movement Director on “Every Leaf a Hallelujah (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Choreographer on “Generations of the Dead in the Abyss of Coney Island Madness”, (Contact Theatre), Movement Specialist on “The Odyssey”, (RSC Stratford-upon-Avon), and Performer in “Samarkand” directed by Wole Soyinka, (Haus Der Kulture Welt, Berlin).
