PAOLA DIONISOTTI

Born in Italy before moving to England where she was educated and trained. She has worked extensively in repertory, West End, classical and alternative theatre, most recently for the RSC in their Nations at War season in the Swan Theatre. Other theatre work includes If Destroyed True (Chocolate Factory in London and tour). Paola won Actress of the Year Award 2000 for her lead role in Further than the Furthest Thing by Zinnie Harris directed by Irina Brown, (Tricycle Theatre, RNT and tour of South Africa). She has starred in many productions for the National Theatre and RSC. These include Ninagawa’s Peer Gynt, Measure for Measure, The Taming of the Shrew, Moscow Gold (RSC) and The Goldoni Triology and Richard II (National). She has also starred in The Relapse (The Chichester Festival), King Lear (Old Vic), Camino Real (Young Vic) and The Entertainer with Corin Redgrave (Liverpool Playhouse). She directed Two Sisters and a Piano for the Riverside Studios. Movies include The Sailor’s Return, Sakharov,Les Miserables, The Tichbourne Claimant, Cheerful Weather for the Wedding and TV includes Forever Green, Harbour Lights, and Midsummer Murders.
